Retail POS Plus ("we", "us") publishes independent comparisons of point-of-sale systems. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to information when you visit retailposplus.com. The site is intended for a general audience, primarily in the United States.
No Accounts, No Registration
This site is a collection of static content pages. There are no user accounts, sign-ups, forms or logins, and we don't ask you to provide personal information to read anything here.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage — pages visited, approximate location (country/region), device type and referral source. This data is used in aggregate to decide what to write and improve next; we don't use it to identify individual visitors. Google Analytics uses cookies; you can opt out via Google's analytics opt-out browser add-on or your browser's cookie settings. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Affiliate Links and Cookies
Some links on this site are commercial links (see our affiliate disclosure). When you click one, the vendor's site or its affiliate network — for example, Impact, which administers Shopify's affiliate program — may set cookies or similar tracking to attribute the referral to us. Those networks' use of your data is governed by their own policies, such as Impact's Privacy Policy and the privacy policy of the vendor you visit. We receive referral reports (e.g., that a sign-up occurred); we don't receive your payment details or account data from vendors.
No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell personal information. We don't collect it in the first place beyond the aggregate analytics described above, and we have no lists, profiles or contact databases to sell.
Third-Party Links
This site links to vendor websites (shopify.com, squareup.com, lightspeedhq.com, clover.com and others) and third-party resources. This policy does not cover those sites; please review each site's own privacy policy when you leave ours.
Children's Privacy
Retail POS Plus is a business-oriented publication and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and revise the effective date. Material changes will be noted on this page.
